In the lead up to the Runathon, we are celebrating Valentine’s day with the Great Wellington Rose Swap! On Thursday and Friday Wellington College students can order a rose that will then be sent to their special someone on Valentine’s day (Wednesday, 14th of February).

This year the roses are wooden, and each come with a little chocolate, a card with a personalised message and are tied with a celebratory ribbon. The roses will be painted – red flower and green stalk.

To order a rose, students just need to come to our stall out the front of the AGC during interval and lunchtime, we accept both cash and card. Prices are one rose for $5, two roses for $8 and three roses for $10. ALL profits made from selling these roses will be donated to our Runathon charities for 2024. 

This year we are proud to support Wellington Rape Crisis, Kaibosh, Downtown Community Ministry (DCM), Boys and Girls Institute (BGI) and international charity World Vision. We are committed to supporting a range of local charities this year with the addition of World Vision and are excited for the opportunity to be able to help the people we see around us everyday. You can join us in this effort by encouraging your son to buy a rose. With each rose purchase you can show your support for your son, the school, and our community.
