Co-Curricular

School activities play a significant part in the development of students. Co-curricular activities have become a fundamental part of school life and aides in improving students’ learning and enjoyment at school.

Co-curricular activities are intended to grow social & intellectual skills, moral, cultural & ethical values, development of resiliency, and teamwork in students. Our co-curricular opportunities at Wellington College are vast, with over 30 sports and 30 arts activities and clubs to choose from, there really is something for everyone.

Sports

With over 30 different sports available in one form or another there is a huge variety to choose from. Some sports are run as clubs, others are convened by individual staff, parents or through local club administrators.
Our school has a fine reputation for the wide range of sporting codes offered, for its very high participation rate in sport and for its sporting successes catering for all levels of ability.

The Arts

The College is known for its success in the Performing Arts and all students are encouraged to participate in the extensive extra-curricular Arts programme. We now have a wonderful new Performing Arts space in the Alan Gibbs Centre which we are looking forward to using.  For many activities, for example, Inhouse Debating, no previous experience is required and this is a chance to acquire new skills and interests. Other activities, such as Music groups, this is an opportunity for students to develop their talents.

Clubs

The clubs at Wellington College are a great way for students to spend time doing things they enjoy, to meet fellow students with similar interests and to learn new skills.
