The support of parents is greatly valued by any school. The Pacific Parents’ Support Group (PPSG) is a group of parents, set up for Pacific students and their families, established some 20 years ago. The PPSG aims to assist the needs of the growing number of Pacific students and their families transitioning into the life of Wellington College and extend their learning capabilities as part of their education experience at college.

The PPSG enjoys the support of the Wellington College Strategic Leadership Team and works closely with the college teaching body to assist Pacific students in all their achievements. As a Pacific community we are fortunate to have guidance, both at teaching and committee level.

The PPSG’s main purpose is to bridge the connection between home and school. This gives the opportunity for PPSG to serve our students and their families. By providing ongoing support and encouragement, we help parents to be better prepared to support their sons while at Wellington College. The PPSG Team have the full support of Staff in organising events and activities that gather our families, celebrating achievement and success. The PPSG are also invited to be involved in giving input toward the Wellington College Strategic Plan. Meetings occur monthly in the College Staff Room, where all parents are most welcome to come along to share views and thoughts to better support students, families and staff.

We would welcome any parent that would like to be part of this group and help us with organising our Pacific events throughout the year.
