Super Six Thanks Ambulance Donors, Ian and Lyn Lindsay

June 12, 2026

We were honoured to host Ian and Lyn Lindsay, WC Grandparents, who have made the purchase of a Wellington Free Ambulance (WFA) possible.

The Super Six shared their Runathon journey with Ian and Lyn and explained how they utilised the giving app, social media, connection with generous sponsors and donors, and the efforts of the whole College community to achieve a successful campaign in 2026.

Headmaster, Glen Denham, explained the philosophy of generosity and service that is at the heart of Wellington College and a value for boys to take into the rest of their lives. Guy Mance, Teacher in Charge of Runathon, explained the history and legacy of this very special student led fundraising programme at WC.

Ian and Lyn had many great questions for the boys about why they wanted to be part of the Super Six, why they wanted to purchase an ambulance, and what being part of this experience has taught them. Clarie Curruthers, General Manager of Fundraising and Communications WFA, explained the huge impact a new ambulance will have for the people of Wellington and the staff at WFA.

If you have not had the chance to support Runathon 2026, it’s not too late – donate here and help get our ambulance on the road!

Our most sincere and grateful thanks to Ian, Lyn, and the Lindsay family for your generosity and care for others, you are truly an inspiration to us all.
