REMINDER Parent workshop – Supporting Your Son Through Externals
June 26, 2026

Join us for proven study and exam strategies – siblings welcome!
Knowing how to effectively support your son’s exam preparation can be a challenge. This workshop is designed to equip you with evidence-based, practical strategies you can use to help him succeed.
We strongly encourage you to bring your young person along so you can build these skills and a study plan together. High-school aged siblings from other schools are also very welcome.
When: Wednesday 1 July, 7:00pm – 8:30pm
Where: Wellington College Library (note change of venue)
Note – if your young person will be attending, it would be great if they could bring their device to access some of the resources. This is not essential but would be helpful.
What we will cover:
-
The Science of Learning: How the brain processes and retains information.
-
Demystifying Exams: How NCEA external exams work.
-
Maximizing Study Time: Helping him study smarter, not just harder.
-
Proven Strategies: Actionable, effective revision techniques.
-
Exam Technique: Tactics for performing well in the exam itself.
While this workshop is primarily aimed at those who have students sitting NCEA exams this year, all interested parents are warmly welcome.
Registration is not required. We look forward to seeing you there.
