2020 Parent Donations

July 26, 2020

Thank you to the Wellington College families who have made their 2020 annual donation. We are aware of the economic impact that COVID-19 & the lockdown has had on many families. It is also having a significant impact on the income that Wellington College annually receives from fee-paying international students and the hiring of Wellington College's facilities. If you are in a position to pay some or all of the 2020 donation that we are requesting, we would really appreciate your support at this time.

At Wellington College, we strive to provide an outstanding educational experience for all our students.  This includes the provision of a highly resourced curriculum, excellent teaching, quality pastoral care, careers guidance and an extensive range of sporting, artistic, service and leadership opportunities.

You may be aware that the decile-based funding that Wellington College receives from the Government provides only for core activities as determined by the Ministry of Education.  In fact, if we were to exclude their provision for teacher salaries, property and land-use, only about 50 percent of the funds required to operate Wellington College come from the Government each year.  Generous financial support from parents over many decades has been instrumental in developing Wellington College's programmes, approaches and facilities.

We ask that you make your annual donation to Wellington College. The amounts requested are stated on the parent portal.

Donations are tax deductible and can be paid through the parent portal, direct credit, automatic payment, or at the Finance Office by cash or EFTPOS.  You could make your donation in one lump sum or spread your payments throughout the rest of the year.

The Wellington College Bank account number is 06-0561-0137023-000.  Please use your son's name or student number as a reference when making an online payment.

Thank you for your support of Wellington College in this way.

Paul Retimanu (Board Chair) and Gregor Fountain (Principal)
