July 28, 2020
We would like to thank friends and whānau of Wellington College who attended our vaping seminar on Tuesday 28 July. It was a great opportunity for all of us to learn together about why vaping has become more prevalent among teenagers and understand the serious health risks that are associated with it. Our Health and Physical Education teachers led a presentation outlining valuable content about vaping and things for parents to look our for if they they think their son or daughter may be vaping. They outlined the vaping content is being covered in the Wellington College curriculum
One thing we are committed to at Wellington College is ensuring we are providing a safe and supportive learning environment. Wellington college's smokefree policy includes a zero tolerance towards smoking and vaping of students, staff and visitors to our school. Our ongoing message for all students is about making positive, health-enhancing decisions for themselves and their peers within school and throughout the local community.
