This truly has been a unique time for everyone in the WC community, with students, teachers, staff, and whānau learning to adapt to what it means to be in lockdown. Moving forward into Term 2, we should take time to grieve for lost opportunities this year, however we must continue to look for the new opportunities that present themselves. We must be innovative in the way we approach what it means to be a part of the WC whānau. As a Prefect team, we have spent a lot of time discussing what student leadership looks like in lockdown, and have created a video showing what our portfolios are doing to support students, as well as some helpful information about wellbeing, NCEA, and motivation.

In this time when we cannot physically be together, may the essence of our community stand strong.
