Kia ora,

To assist students and families as we near the end of year examinations please find the information students will need below:

Examination timetable:

NZQA timetable for the 2021 NCEA examinations

Rooming at Wellington College:

Wellington College Candidate Rooming document. At the start of the rooming document, there is an explanation of how students can find out where they are sitting their examinations.

Important basics to remember:

  • Be familiar with the candidate instructions
  • Students must be on time
  •  If they arrive more than 30 minutes after an examination has started, NZQA will not allow them to enter
  • Students must bring their exam entry slip or they will not be allowed to enter
  • Scholarship candidates must also bring ID
  • Students must wear school uniform

What if a student becomes ill or is injured and cannot study for, or sit, an examination?

Please contact Deputy Principal Andrew Savage immediately, because he may be eligible for a derived grade. This is also the case when a student undergoes a traumatic event or family crisis, such as a serious illness or death of a family member. NZQA requires written verification from a health professional such as a Doctor or Counsellor, and they must complete particular sections in an official derived grade application form – see link below.

SAC Rooming will be ready shortly and this will be emailed out to all students with SACs.
