This is an update for families of students who sat the NCEA Literacy and Numeracy Co-Requisite Common Assessment Activities (CAAs) in May.

Results for the Reading CAA are due to be released by NZQA at 3:30pm on Tuesday 23 June and can be viewed by students through their MyNZQA Learner login.

You can also view your child’s results via the WC Parent Portal:

• Literacy Reading: US32403: Demonstrate understanding of ideas and information in written texts

Results for both the Writing CAA and Numeracy CAA are not due to be released until Monday 20 July.

• Literacy Writing: US32405 Write texts to communicate ideas and information

• Numeracy: US32406 Apply Mathematics and Statistics in a range of everyday situations

Please note that to fully meet the Literacy Co-Requisite, students must pass both the Reading and Writing assessments.

Message from NZQA: Students/ākonga will also be able to access their completed digital assessments. There is information on our website about how to access completed digital assessments. Please note that completed assessments cannot be downloaded and markers do not leave comments, notations or other physical marks on assessments. Students will see questions and their responses only. For privacy reasons, teachers and schools will not be able to access completed digital assessments directly, however students are welcome to share their assessments with teachers. Students/ākonga who did not achieve one or more of the Literacy or Numeracy standards will be able to view personalised feedback reports as usual.

A huge congratulations to all students who entered. They approached these assessments with real focus and determination. For those who didn’t achieve the result they were hoping for, please know there are further opportunities to reattempt the tests. We also offer a range of support, interventions, and alternative pathways to help every student meet the standard and will be in touch about those in due course.

Looking ahead, Year 10 students will sit their Reading and Numeracy assessments on Wednesday 9 and Tuesday 15 September.
