Some students are attempting their Co-Requisite CAAs in May
Writing test – arrangements for Year 11 students
Year 11 students will be sitting their Writing assessment on Tuesday 26 May in either period 1 or period 4. This will be their first opportunity to complete the full Co-Requisite qualification.
Students will receive a personalised CAA schedule via email closer to this date. We have a small number of students who passed the Writing test at their previous school and these students do not need to sit the assessment again. They will attend their lessons as normal.
All year levels will have classes as normal during the testing period and will excuse themself from their lessons if they have a Literacy or Numeracy test scheduled. Attendance will be taken in the examination halls.
What if a student needs to reattempt a Reading, Writing or Numeracy test?
Some students in Years 11-13 will be reattempting a test they did not pass last year. This could be Reading, Writing, and/or Numeracy. If this is your young person, you will receive an email to confirm. For the majority of students, these tests will run on Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 May.
When are the Numeracy and Reading assessments for Year 10 students?
Year 10 students will be attempting the Reading and Numeracy tests in September. We will provide more information closer to the time.
How long does the test take?
Students must stay in the test for at least one hour, but there is no time limit — they can take as long as they need. The tests are designed to take one hour to complete.
