Celebrating Pasifika Student Success and farewell to our Pasifika Year 13 Graduating Class of 2025

On Friday 28th November, our Pasifika Community gathered together in the Theatre for our annual Fiafia Night. A wonderful evening bringing parents, grandparents, families, students, and staff to celebrate Y9-Y13 Pasifika Student success and to farewell our Pasifika Year 13 Graduating Class of 2025.

Co-hosted by the WC Pasifika Team and the WC Pasifika Parents Support Group (PPSG), the evening was expertly MC’d by Y12s Linus Ericson, George Fa’afoi-Rogers and Mosese Valu. Our guest speakers were; Tumuaki-Headmaster – Glen Denham, PPSG Chairperson – Lupeti Finau, Deborah Tiatia – Pasifika Mentor, WC Old Boys Otto Rasch (Class of 1999) and Mia Morris (Class of 2023), and Dean of Senior School – Rhea Stevenson. Each sharing congratulations to the prize recipients and special encouragement and words of wisdom to the Y13 leavers and parents who have supported them on their WC journey.

Special highlights of the night were Y13 leavers speeches and the Pasifka Performance Group who dedicated their performance and final haka to honour and farewell the Year Class of 2025 and their families. Thank you to all our Aiga and families who came along to make our night a success. Malo aupito to the PPSG Komiti for all your hard work behind the scenes, and everyone who helped on the night.
