Jazz Band.
The Music Department at Wellington College is a vibrant and successful one. As well as Music within the curriculum there is a large number of groups in which students can become involved as an extra-curricular activity.
The Concert Band is an all-comers ensemble for musicians who play either brass, woodwind or percussion instruments or the guitar.  The Concert Band rehearses on Tuesdays, 8.00am and lunchtime.
 
The Orchestra is open to any musician who plays an orchestral instrument.  Orchestra rehearsals are held on Fridays, 8.00am and lunchtime.
 
The Jazz Band is an auditioned 20 piece jazz ensemble with rehearsals on Mondays, 8.00am and lunchtime. 
 
The Chorale is an auditioned choir of up to 25 singers.  The Chorale won awards in both the 2006 and 2007 finals in the National Big Sing.  In 2008, the Chorale is once again one of the national finalists.  Their main rehearsal is on Tuesday, late afternoon/evening.
 
The Choir is an all-comers group which in 2008 has over 50 members. Like the Chorale, the Choir competes in the Big Sing competition. They rehearse on Thursdays, 8am and lunchtime.
 
Rockquest: Rock Bands enter the local Rockquest Competition and perform at the College.
