The Wellington College Football Club is one of the largest junior clubs in the region, with up to 29 teams in the Wellington College and Capital Football leagues. The 1st XI also competes in seven traditional fixtures and expects to qualify each year for the NZ Secondary Schools Championship. The Club attempts to provide expert coaching for all levels, supported by a professional director of coaching who runs a football academy before school for grades 14-16. The school has provided numerous representative players over the years, with current students or old boys playing for the All Whites, New Zealand U23, U20, U17 and U15 teams.
The 2008 1st XI Football team won the Wellington Senior A Competition.
TRAINING: 1-2 times per week depending on level
COMPETITION: Saturdays – time dependant on grade
SEASON: Terms 2 and 3
