Students whose usual and permanent place of residence is within the Wellington College zone have the right to be enrolled at the College. For maps of the College home zone, please click
here. And for a written description, click
here.
Students who live outside the zone can apply for entry by ballot. For more information about the ballot system, click
here.
The College is able to receive in-zone applications at any time during the year prior to enrolment, but preferably by the closing date for the ballot to allow planning for out-of-zone numbers. However, out-of-zone applications must be posted to the College or delivered to the College reception by the ballot closing date.
All applications should be signed and a copy of the birth certificate (and passport if the student was born outside New Zealand) must be attached. In-zone applications must also provide two recent original documents showing residence in the zone.
