Our three facilities - Brierley Theatre, Firth Hall and the Cricket Pavilion - are available for hire after school hours (6.00pm), during the weekends and over the holiday periods at very competitive rates.

Firth Hall, built in 1924,  was the original dining room of the Wellington College boarders and was part of the boarding establishment of Firth House (named after Wellington College’s longest serving Headmaster JP Firth ~ 1892-1921).
 
Firth Hall was the only part to have escaped condemnation.  It was incorporated into the Arts Centre which opened in 1987 and was deemed to be known as the Brierley Theatre (named after Old Boy and benefactor Sir Ron Brierley 1951-1954).
 
Wellington College’s Brierley Theatre and adjacent Firth Hall – ideal for weddings, special occasions and corporate functions allow for an entire wedding occasion or just the reception, or for corporate events and private functions.  The Cricket Pavilion, suitable for meetings or fine dining, seats 20 guests.
 
The reception facility features a splendid open-plan dining room/ballroom, that seats up to 300 guests. The historic Firth Hall allows for smaller events (that seat 120) or as pre-reception cocktail area and as an area for those quieter moments.
 
Events @ Wellington College is now catered by Fine Cuisine – who can plan, style and manage any wedding occasion, private function or corporate event on your behalf.  Their team of seasoned professionals will prepare delightful cuisine that will impress you and your guests. Experience a culinary innovation combined with a focus on freshness and quality is what makes their menus special - and at prices you can afford.  They can also advise and recommend services on a number of associated event details - theming, décor, beverages, even invitations and place names.
 
While Events @ Wellington College specialises in weddings, it is also an elegant and practical venue for a variety of functions from corporate events to balls.  Our venues have the flexibility to offer a variety of options to suit your unique requirements.
 
It helps that all of this is located in the heart of the city and with the advantage of extensive free parking.
 
2010 - 2011 VENUE HIRE CHARGES
Brierley Theatre & Firth Hall -  $1300 + gst with a bond
Firth Hall - $650 + gst with a bond
(Costs and bond may differ depending on your requirements ie security/cleaning etc).
